Our rich and creamy mozzarella is made from the pure full cream milk from our cows in Nanjo, Okinawa. We have two flavours, plain and smoked. Plain is best for salads, with fresh basil, slices of tomato, olive oil, salt and pepper. The smoked is best grilled. Grill on a pizza, on toast or just slice and place on a piece of parchment paper on a frying pan and melt it.

Italian missionaries went to Mexico and taught them how to make mozzarella. Then, the clever Mexicans stretched the mozzarella into a long strand and wound it into a ball. This is called Oaxaca Cheese after the region in Mexico where it became famous.

Mozzarella is also pulled into a long strand and cut into strips. In this form it is called string cheese. 

Mozzarella, Oaxaca and String Cheese are all basically the same.
